Backgammon Board – Introduction The backgammon board consists of 24 points, narrow triangles that alternate in color. The backgammon board is divided into 4 areas, each one includes 6 points: one player's home board and outer board and the second player's home board and outer board. The players' home and outer boards are divided in the middle by the bar. Setting up the Backgammon Board The points on the backgammon board are numbered 1 through 24. One player's 24-point is his opponent 1-point. Each player gets one set of 15 checkers separated by their color.
